Meet Dr. Amalia Poquiz Mayor
Dr. Poquiz Mayor is originally from Northern California and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in 2008. Dr. Poquiz has clinical experience in Veterans Affairs Clinics (San Francisco Medical Center & Northern California Health Care System: Sacramento), community vision clinics (Alameda County Medical Center), and specialty low vision clinics.
Dr. Poquiz Mayor is married with two children. She has been fully dedicated to the care of her Visions of Washington patients since joining the group in 2008. Dr. Poquiz Mayor works primarily at Visions of Washington – Bartlett Eye Clinic and Magnolia Eye Care.
Dr. Poquiz Mayor enjoys big family gatherings, cooking traditional and ethnic recipes, wine tasting, amateur photography, sewing, training for marathons, attending professional baseball games and concerts of various genres.
